Job summary

Touro University Nevada in Henderson, NV seeks an HR Business Partner to align organizational objectives with HR plans, delivering client-focused services across schools and administrative departments. The role acts as a strategic consultant to management and partners with HR leadership to drive value-added solutions.

Responsibilities include employee relations, performance management, compensation support, policy guidance, training, and climate survey initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required.
• Master’s degree or other advanced education preferred.
• Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for managers and employees to understand HR service delivery model and obtain services.
• Administers HR plans and procedures for client groups.
• Manages FMLA and Reasonable Accommodations processes; escalates issues to the Director of Human Resources for guidance.
• Assists in policy development and implementation as necessary.
• Performs compensation and payroll duties under the direction of Head of HR.
• Serves as point person for employee health insurance plans including disability, dental, vision, health, retirement plans, tuition reduction, and EAP.
• Provides policy guidance and interpretation to employees.
• Conducts regular meetings with client groups and participates in staff meetings.
• Consults with line management providing HR guidance with influence on decision-making.
• Establishes and manages strategic projects with Executive Management, Deans, and Department Heads.
• Analyzes HR metrics with Centers of Excellence to develop programs and policies.
• Responsible for Employee Relations, investigations, exit interviews, and trend analysis.
• Keeps up-to-date on legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees and HR compliance.
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management.
• Works with management and employees to improve relations, morale, productivity and retention; collaborates on Climate Survey results.
