Stewart & Stevenson Power Products, a Kirby Corporation company, is seeking an HR Business Partner to work closely with leaders and employees across eight locations in Texas and Louisiana. The role requires about 30% travel to stay connected with operations and people.

You will influence culture, performance, and workforce planning to keep essential equipment moving and support a safety-focused, high-performing workplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience in service, power, manufacturing, or operationally intense environments.
• Fluency in employee relations, investigations, performance, talent, and org effectiveness.
• Analytical thinker with a coach's heart and ability to guide leaders.
• Experience supporting hourly, technical, skilled trades, field service, or frontline leader populations.
• Comfort with AI, workforce analytics and modern HR tech.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and operations leaders to shape people strategy and performance.
• Serve as a trusted partner for leaders and a steady resource for employees.
• Shape engagement, recognition, and day-to-day employee experiences.
• Turn turnover/engagement data into clear, actionable insights for decision making.
• Ensure HR fundamentals: leave programs, ADA, FMLA, workers' comp, attendance, compliance.
