Job summary

Stanford University Libraries (SUL) is seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager to join the SUL HR team. The role guides employees and managers on HR issues, leads HR programming, and partners with leadership on staff talent and policy needs.

Responsibilities include supervising front-office HR operations, talent acquisition, and improving processes. Requires strong HR generalist experience, supervisory skills, and a collaborative consultative approach within a university setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of relevant human resources experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong HCM/ATS experience and proficiency with business applications, Microsoft Office suite, Google suite, etc.
  • Demonstrated Supervisory experience and ability to lead HR initiatives.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Experience delivering HR consulting and advising employees and managers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultation to employees and managers on general and specialized HR issues.
  • Facilitate and lead implementation of HR programs and policies.
  • Supervise staff supporting HR operations and talent acquisition.
  • Lead or participate in HR projects and process improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with university policies and applicable laws.
