Job summary

Kiva Sales & Service (KSS) is hiring an HR Manager to partner with the leadership team on HR strategy across talent, compliance, and culture in a regulated distribution setting. You will own the full employee lifecycle, from payroll and benefits to onboarding and offboarding, while building a small HR team and serving as a trusted partner.

MUST reside in California. The role requires a background in distribution and cannabis-related compliance, and experience managing HR programs and vendor

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience, including distribution experience.
• PEO experience is required.
• Experience serving HR for a distribution company in a regulated industry.
• Knowledge of employment law, compensation, planning, recruitment, and engagement.
• Prior people management experience with coaching and performance feedback.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to execute HR strategy across talent and culture.
• Administer HR programs: payroll, benefits, leave, onboarding/offboarding, training.
• Oversee compliance and payroll to ensure timely, accurate processing.
• Foster a people-first culture with events and ongoing engagement.
• Build and manage an HR team, including vendor selection for HR/benefits.
