Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in manufacturing, food production, warehouse, logistics, distribution, or another operational environment.
  • Proven experience managing employee relations and supporting frontline/hourly workforces.
  • Strong OSHA and workplace safety experience is required.
  • Experience working in a regulated or compliance-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Hands-on HR leader who spends time in the operation rather than from a desk.
  • Strong communication, judgment, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to build trust with both frontline employees and senior leadership.
  • Cannabis industry experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Support recruiting and talent development for hourly and leadership-level operational positions

We’re seeking an experienced HR Manager to join a growing, vertically integrated cannabis company in Allegany County, Maryland. This is a hands-on leadership role for an HR professional who is comfortable working in a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, food production, or similarly operational environment and understands how to build strong people practices in a fast-paced, highly regulated workplace.

The HR Manager will partner closely with leadership and operations to support the full employee lifecycle, while helping create a safe, accountable, and high-performing workplace. This person will be highly visible on the floor and should be comfortable working directly with managers and employees across multiple operational functions.
