Job summary

The University of Miami is seeking a Senior Manager, Human Resources – Gables/Marine who will provide leadership and counsel to administrators on HR matters, and oversee planning, development, and administration of HR services with a focus on talent acquisition and management.

You will partner with managers and staff to build strong work relationships, attract and develop talent, and support the university’s mission while ensuring compliance with policies and employment laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience required.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment laws and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Counsels and guides employees and managers on HR policies and practices.
• Resolves complex employee relations issues and conducts investigations.
• Ensures compliance with university policies and employment laws.
• Oversees recruitment for professional staff and builds talent pipelines.
• Maintains HR data in ERP system and generates reports.
• Assists with restructuring, succession planning, and salary reviews.
• Drives training needs and evaluates training programs.
• Communicates with client groups to meet needs.
