Lonza in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to provide strategic leadership and guidance to the site’s business client group, shaping high-performing teams and a thriving workplace culture.

You will partner with site leadership to execute people plans, oversee succession, performance management, and develop talent pipelines, while collaborating with recruiters and HR colleagues to meet business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or related field; master’s degree or HR certification preferred.
• Extensive experience in progressive HR roles with a business partner focus.
• Proven experience leading complex HR initiatives such as growth ramp-ups and change management.
• Strong ability to think strategically while executing tactical HR initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Site Leadership Team to execute site-wide people plans and large-scale change initiatives.
• Oversee succession planning, performance management, and career development strategies.
• Collaborate with recruiters on targeted hiring strategies to meet business goals.
• Develop engagement strategies to enhance employee engagement and culture.
• Manage site HR administration (Payroll, Total Rewards, Mobility) for day-to-day support.
• Build networks across the global HR ecosystem to align local efforts with wider objectives.
• Monitor HR effectiveness by tracking metrics and driving continuous improvement.
