Job summary

Lonza in Walkersville, MD is seeking a strategic Head of HR Partnering to lead people strategies for our Walkersville site, aligning HR operations with business goals to drive growth, performance and engagement. You will partner with site leaders to deliver integrated HR solutions across COEs, operations, and talent development.

The role requires 8+ years in HR, strong leadership and advisory skills, and a track record of transforming organization effectiveness in a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field required; MBA preferred.
• 8+ years in progressive HR roles including partnering, employee relations, and leadership coaching.
• Experience supporting senior leaders in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Experience with manufacturing/biotech/pharma environments is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR partnering for the Walkersville site, aligning people strategies with business goals.
• Advise site leadership on employee relations, performance, and development.
• Implement enterprise HR programs while tailoring to site needs.
• Drive workforce planning, talent assessment, and succession planning.
• Partner with COE, People Ops, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and Learning & Development.
• Mentor and develop local HR team; champion inclusive culture and compliance.
