Job summary

Lonza, a global leader in life sciences, seeks a Director, HR Partnering (HR Site Head) for its Houston site. You will partner with site leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, culture, and transformational growth in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

You will lead HR strategy, workforce planning, and employee engagement while ensuring compliance and strong employee relations across the site. This senior role requires onsite presence and strategic influence across global HR networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to the Site Head and Site Leadership Team.
• Build partnerships with site leadership, HR Strategic Partner, and global HR network.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term HR strategies aligned with the Houston site vision.
• Translate strategy into actionable people priorities and execution plans.
• Challenge leaders to improve organizational effectiveness, performance, and talent development.
• Lead organizational design, workforce planning, succession, and talent management.
• Drive people-related aspects of business transformation and change programs.
• Provide strategic HR guidance to mitigate risk and foster positive employee relations.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Develop and implement employee engagement strategies to strengthen culture.
• Build robust talent pipelines to meet current and future business needs.
• Deliver global HR initiatives while achieving site objectives.
• Leverage analytics to inform decisions and identify trends.
• Serve as a link between operations and senior leadership.
