Job summary

Liberty Waste Solutions is seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead the day-to-day HR function across a fast-paced, multi-location workforce. The HR Manager will oversee employee relations, compliance, recruiting and onboarding, payroll, benefits, 401(k) administration, and performance management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience leading an HR team.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Experience supporting multi-location or multi-state workforce.
• HRIS/payroll system experience; ADP is a plus.
• Experience with payroll oversight and benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the HR team across multiple locations.
• Primary HR partner to managers and leadership across locations.
• Oversee employee relations, investigations, performance management, and terminations.
• Own company-wide HR compliance with applicable laws.
• Manage FMLA, ADA accommodations, unemployment claims, and HR reporting.
• Oversee recruiting, hiring, and onboarding for hourly and salaried positions.
• Oversee the weekly payroll process, audits, timecard compliance, and deductions.
• Oversee benefits administration and liaise with brokers and vendors.
• Serve as 401(k) Plan Administrator, including eligibility, contributions, and filings.
• Collaborate with Safety on workers' compensation and leave coordination.
• Maintain accurate HRIS data and employee changes.
• Partner with Operations, Safety, and Finance on workforce matters.
• Support employee engagement, retention, compensation, promotions, and planning.
• Support acquisitions and growth initiatives.
• Maintain a visible HR presence across locations.
