Job summary

Flix is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join its Human Resources team, supporting operations in Chicago, IL, or Atlanta, GA. The role requires 5+ years in a unionized, high-volume setting and a solid background in employee relations, compliance, and people operations.

The ideal candidate will partner with management, administer onboarding, lead performance cycles, manage leave and unemployment claims, and maintain data integrity in the HRIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive HR Generalist experience in a unionized, high-volume environment.
• Experience with DOT-regulated employees and labor relations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• ER: investigations, discipline, conflict resolution, coaching managers.
• Compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Compensation: job evaluations, salary benchmarking, merit cycles, union pay scales.
• Performance management: goals, reviews, and disciplinary cycles.
• Leave administration: FMLA, ADA, disability, personal leave.
• Unemployment claims management and state responses.
• People data: HRIS updates and employment changes.
• Onboarding: pre-employment checks, I-9, orientations, etc.
