Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a proactive HR Generalist to support the Building Technology Solutions subgroup in Phoenix, AZ. The role partners with senior leaders and managers to align workforce planning, recruiting, performance management, onboarding, and employee development.

This position focuses on day-to-day HR operations, policy guidance, and programs that promote engagement and growth across regions, while ensuring compliance with US employment laws and ASSA ABLOY standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, organizational development, psychology, or related field.
• 4+ years of HR management experience.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes: performance, design, employee relations, talent management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience collaborating across multi-product teams and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR liaison to leaders within the Building Technology Solutions subgroup.
• Partner with the President, Building Technology Solutions to design and evolve the organizational structure.
• Support recruiting and talent acquisition efforts with collaboration from talent partners.
• Develop workforce planning, hiring strategies, and succession plans for key roles.
• Guide leaders through performance management, goals, feedback, and career development.
• Define roles, competencies, and leveling frameworks to promote consistency.
• Facilitate onboarding to connect new employees to teams and subgroup goals.
• Support employee engagement, culture-building, and recognition programs across regions.
• Provide coaching on employee relations, policy interpretation, and leadership effectiveness.
• Monitor team dynamics, workload balance, risks, and employee sentiment; escalate as needed.
