Job summary

BrainWorks in Washington, DC is seeking an HR Director to serve as a strategic HR leader and trusted advisor to organizational leadership. You will report to the VP of Human Resources and oversee an HR team while guiding key people initiatives across the organization.

The role emphasizes employee relations, performance management, talent management, and leadership coaching to evolve the company’s people practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and/or HR certification preferred.
Experience leading HR teams and HR leadership.
Strong background in employee relations, performance and talent management.
Proven coaching and influencing leaders at multiple levels.
Experience implementing or improving talent and succession planning.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary HR partner for leaders across the organization, providing guidance on employee relations and workplace issues.
Coach managers on performance management, employee development, and difficult conversations.
Drive talent management initiatives, including succession planning and career development.
Partner with leadership to strengthen organizational effectiveness and enhance the employee experience.
Support and continuously improve performance management processes.
