Job summary

Thunderbird Casino is seeking an Human Resource Director to lead policy development, HR and Payroll operations, and regulatory compliance. You will supervise HR staff, manage onboarding, training, and compensation programs, and coordinate with management and stakeholders to ensure robust employee relations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and at least eight years of HR experience, with casino operations exposure preferred and SHRM certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in HR, business administration, or related field.
• Eight years of progressive HR experience; casino operations experience preferred.
• SHRM CP/SCP certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and successful background check; key gaming license required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements HR/policy procedures for HR and Payroll.
• Oversees employee relations, onboarding, training, and compensation programs.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and tribal laws and regulations.
• Prepares and monitors the department budget; manages expenditures.
• Supervises HR staff and collaborates with management and stakeholders.
• Maintains confidential employee records and handles disciplinary actions.
