Job summary

Sony Electronics Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to act as a trusted partner across an assigned client group.

The role supports talent management, performance, employee relations, compensation programs, workforce planning and organizational change. The ideal candidate will independently advise leaders, navigate a matrixed HR organization, and translate HR programs into practical solutions for leaders and employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus 6+ years HR experience.
• Independently support a client organization across multiple HR disciplines: employee relations, performance, talent, compensation, organizational change.
• Coach managers on employee relations, performance, organizational, and workforce matters.
• Working knowledge of employment practices, HR policies, compensation programs, and talent management processes.
• Experience supporting organizational changes, restructures, workforce planning, or business transformation.
• Navigate and collaborate within a matrixed organization and across HR Centers of Excellence.
• Experience using HRIS and workforce data to support HR processes and decision‑making.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner for an assigned client group, guiding across HR matters.
• Advise leaders on workforce planning, organizational changes, employee relations, and talent decisions.
• Support compensation programs, equity reviews, and recognition initiatives.
• Collaborate with People Experience on performance management, talent reviews, and leadership development.
• Coach managers on goals, feedback, and accountability; support talent reviews and succession planning.
• Enhance employee engagement, team effectiveness, and workplace culture.
