Job summary

Johnson County Government's Department of Human Resources is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Business Partner to partner with DAO leadership and drive strategic people initiatives across the organization.

The HRBP will provide consultative HR guidance, collaborate with Centers of Excellence, support workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and compliance, and coach leaders on change and engagement in a public sector environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Public Admin, or related field required.
• Minimum of three years of HR experience and professional certification preferred.
• Experience providing consultation to managers or organizational leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative HR guidance to managers and leadership across departments.
• Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to deliver HR services and compliance.
• Serve as primary HR contact for leadership with workforce and people strategies.
• Support workforce planning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
• Coach supervisors on conflict resolution, engagement, and change management.
• Translate priorities into practical HR programs and policy updates.
