Job summary

ANS is seeking a versatile HR Business Partner (HRBP) to serve as a strategic partner to business leaders and a hands-on operator for core HR work. Reporting to the CHRO, this role will scale people practices across a multi-office, multi-discipline environment, including field and project-based teams.

This temporary position covers leave through November and will be a key leader in strengthening manager capability, performance, retention, and culture, partnering with Payroll, L&D, and Recruiting

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive HR experience with HRBP work supporting leaders in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in professional services, engineering, construction, field operations, or project-based organizations is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on payroll experience and ability to partner with Finance/Payroll vendors.
• Data-informed approach with ability to define KPIs and interpret trends.

Responsibilities

• Strategic HR partnership: translate business goals into people plans (org design, workforce planning, talent, engagement, retention).
• Manager enablement: coach managers on leadership routines, feedback, performance, and team health.
• Employee relations & investigations: lead complex ER cases with governance and risk awareness.
• Performance management: drive cycles, calibration, and improvement plans with measurable outcomes.
• Learning & development: build manager training, role-based paths, and practical workshops.
• Payroll partnership: coordinate with Payroll/Finance to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and controls.
• Change & integration support: assist with M&A integration and policy harmonization.
• Compensation & job architecture: support leveling, offers, equity, and benchmarking.
• Talent & succession: identify critical roles and development plans for leadership.
• Culture & engagement: leverage data to identify trends and drive targeted interventions.
