Job summary

Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) in Irvine, CA, is seeking a highly analytical and politically astute Senior Human Resources Analyst to join the Employee Benefits and Classification & Compensation Division. This role leads job analysis, classification studies, salary administration, and internal equity initiatives, while advising leadership on HR matters.

The incumbent provides expert consultation on complex HR programs, supports benefits and leave programs, and may oversee other HR functions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Experience in government HR preferred (benefits, compensation, employee relations).
• Knowledge of HR compliance and talent management principles.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, supervise, and evaluate HR staff and complex HR programs.
• Lead classification and compensation initiatives, including job analysis and salary administration.
• Provide expert HR consultative support to management and leadership; ensure regulatory compliance.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business or public administration
