Job summary

Mainsail Lodging & Development is seeking a General Manager for the Marriott Macon City Center. You will lead a premier full-service hotel in Central Georgia, aligning operations with Marriott standards and brand vision.

You will drive profitability, oversee strategic planning, and cultivate a high-performing leadership team while partnering with ownership and stakeholders to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in a management role overseeing operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting and/or related professional area; including 3+ years as Hotel Manager / Resort Manager / Director of Operations
• Marriott brand experience strongly preferred
• Experience working directly with ownership groups, investors, and asset managers
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced understanding of hotel financial management, forecasting, budgeting, and balance sheet analysis
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, collaboration, accountability, and innovation

Responsibilities

• Lead all operational, financial, and strategic functions of the hotel.
• Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share while maximizing owner returns.
• Develop and mentor the Executive Leadership Team.
• Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, and operating procedures.
• Oversee capital projects, renovations, and property improvement initiatives.
