Job summary

Highgate Hotels L.P. is seeking a seasoned Controller to oversee accounting operations for a Denver-area property. You will supervise payroll, AP/AR, and cash handling, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate financial reporting.

You will assist in budgeting and tax processes while leading a team and maintaining strong internal controls. The role requires 2–4 years of hotel accounting experience and a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance.

Qualifications

• At least 2–4 years of hotel accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Needs knowledge of GAAP, finance, and hospitality practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cashier, and Night Audit staff.
• Ensure daily accounting operations comply with SOPs and GAAP.
• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports in a timely manner.
• Assist in annual budget, forecasts, and tax reporting.
• Train and monitor staff on financial controls and information flow.
• Resolve issues and maintain accounting systems and equipment.
