Highgate Hotels is seeking an Assistant Director of Finance to lead the property's financial operations, guiding the accounting team and ensuring accurate, timely reporting. The role emphasizes internal controls, regulatory compliance, and safeguarding owners' assets.

You will supervise staff, manage cash flow, prepare variance analyses, and collaborate with department heads to maintain the hotel’s financial objectives. This on-site position supports a diverse hospitality portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or closely related field.
• Strong PC skills including Excel and Word; experience with accounting systems.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Finance in timely preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Prepare, monitor, and record hotel revenues daily and identify variances.
• Monitor cash flow, operating forecasts, and bank reconciliations.
• Coordinate with department heads to keep operations on track.
• Oversee monthly general ledger reconciliations and staff supervision.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Manage receivables, payables, and daily cash balances.
• Analyze financial data to advise department heads on financial objectives.
• Hire, train, supervise, and develop staff under guidance of the Director.
• Prepare special reports and participate in other projects as assigned.
