Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a senior marketing and communications leader based in California or PST time zone to craft messaging for new features and product updates. You will work with product, design, and community teams to drive adoption, trust, and host success, using AI tools to accelerate drafting and analysis.

You will lead cross-functional campaigns, translate policies into clear narratives, and guide editorial strategy across channels, including email, social, and in-product communications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of marketing or communications experience at a world-class tech company or startup.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; editorial excellence required.
• Ability to translate complex product features and community policies into clear, compelling narratives.
• Portfolio of writing samples to share.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence teams.

Responsibilities

• Own positioning and launch communications plans for new features, products and updates.
• Establish engagement and business goals for announcements and campaigns; work with data scientists to build KPI frameworks.
• Develop campaigns, draft messaging frameworks, and oversee communications execution.
• Identify key audiences and build plans to support goals.
• Collaborate with channel owners to define editorial approach and messaging; manage feedback to inform decisions.
• Develop proactive and reactive communications plans.
• Report on reach, engagement, and business metrics; coordinate sentiment dashboards.
• Champion the community and user in decisions; oversee cross-functional collaboration.
