Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a senior marketing/communications leader based in California or within the PST time zone. You will craft positioning and launch communications for major features and updates, translating complex policies into compelling narratives that resonate with hosts and communities.

You will own campaigns across email, social, in-product channels, and partnerships, guiding editors and creators while leveraging AI tools to move faster and measure impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in marketing or communications at a world-class tech company or startup.
• Excellent writing and editorial acumen.
• Ability to translate complex product features and community policies into clear narratives.
• Portfolio/writing samples to share.
• Ability to lead initiatives across a matrixed org.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams.
• Versed in product strategy and development.
• Experience managing creative agencies and producing campaigns.
• Passion for Airbnb and hosts.

Responsibilities

• Own positioning and launch communications plans for new features, products and corporate updates.
• Set engagement goals and develop KPI frameworks with data analysts.
• Develop campaigns, messaging frameworks, and oversee communications execution.
• Identify key audiences and build plans to support goals.
• Collaborate with owned channels to define editorial approach and messaging.
• Develop proactive and reactive communications plans.
• Report on reach, engagement, and business metrics with the ops team.
• Champion the community and user in all decisions.
• Oversee collaboration between product design, content strategy, and marketing.
• Serve as an individual contributor and cross-functional leader.
