Job summary

Hyatt Indy in downtown Indianapolis is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, manage staff, and support month-end close, budgeting, and audits.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years in supervision; CPA or CMA preferred; hospitality experience with systems like Aptech PVNG or OnQ PMS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Hotel or hospitality industry experience preferred.
• Experience with accounting systems such as Aptech PVNG, OnQ PMS, or similar.
• Strong GAAP knowledge; analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Supervise and review the work of accounting staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes for assigned entities.
• Analyze financial data, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with annual budget preparation and periodic forecasting.
• Coordinate audit activities and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Collaborate with property and corporate leadership to support financial goals.
