Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking a Director of Finance to join our hospital leadership team. You will partner with the Division CFO, CEO, physicians, and operational leaders to drive financial performance, operational excellence, and strategic growth.

This hands-on, entrepreneurial finance leader balances strategic vision with execution, building capabilities, improving processes, and leading teams to deliver measurable results for a single hospital location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in ambulatory care, hospital or healthcare finance.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement, revenue cycle operations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling expertise.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and driving financial and operational improvement initiatives.
• Ability to influence leaders and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance management.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and long-term financial sustainability.
• Serve as trusted advisor to the CEO and hospital leadership, providing financial insights.
• Identify opportunities to optimize resources and support organizational growth.
• Ensure sound financial controls, stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and present financial results and strategic recommendations to executives and boards.
