Responsibilities

• Directs the Highway Division administration and resource use.
• Plans and coordinates roadway, bridge, drainage, and traffic system functions.
• Leads staff to ensure high performance and customer service.
• Develops strategic and capital plans for road infrastructure and reconstructions.
• Oversees construction, maintenance, and repair of highways and related assets.
• Ensures compliance with FHWA, MUTCD, NBIS, NYSDOT standards and design manuals.
• Reviews plans and bids; manages procurement and contract awards.
• Manages budgets, labor agreements, and emergency/snow operations.
• Maintains asset management and GIS integration; coordinates with agencies and residents.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field

Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration or related field or certification (e.g., CWP, PMP, Asset Management, Lean Six Sigma)
