UnitedHealth Group in Minnesota is seeking a Manager, Corporate Development (M&A) to lead and manage multiple acquisition projects on the Mergers & Acquisitions team. You will partner with senior leaders to drive strategic investments and coordinate cross-functional due diligence while presenting findings to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 6+ years of M&A experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Transaction Advisory Services
• Experience leading multiple transaction workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Strong financial and accounting expertise, including quality of earnings, working capital, cash flow analysis, and GAAP reporting
• Advanced valuation, forecasting, and transaction modeling experience
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations
• Ability to travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Evaluate acquisition opportunities, including business models, strategic fit, growth potential, and key financial drivers
• Develop valuation analyses, synergy assessments, DCF models, comparable company analyses, and accretion/dilution models
• Lead cross-functional due diligence efforts, partnering with internal subject matter experts to assess risks and validate investment opportunities
• Conduct financial diligence to evaluate earnings quality, performance trends, and transaction assumptions
• Review transaction terms with financial implications and provide recommendations to support negotiation strategies
• Present investment opportunities, diligence findings, and transaction risks to senior executives and business leaders
• Research industry trends, growth opportunities, and potential acquisition targets across the healthcare landscape
• Serve as a key liaison between business leaders, external advisors, and target companies
• Mentor and develop junior team members while fostering strong business and financial acumen
