Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Communications Director to lead strategic communications plans for assigned clients and to act as the primary interface between BIDMC's Communications Department and executive leadership. You will partner with leaders to advance business goals, strengthen patient engagement and manage multi-channel programs.

The role reports to the Vice President of Communications, builds relationships with administrative, clinical and research leaders, and drives campaigns,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing/Communications or related field.
• 10+ years related healthcare experience preferred.
• 0-1 years supervisory/management experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint/Access.

Responsibilities

• Serves as primary contact for BIDMC, interfacing with subject-matter experts to support client's business objectives.
• Builds strategic relationships with BIDMC leadership across administrative, clinical and research domains.
• Identifies business challenges and opportunities based on culture, services, and financial performance.
• Leads the development of strategic marketing and communications plans in support of BIDMC priorities.
• Assesses local processes to support system-led campaigns and address workflow gaps.
• Ensures the development and presentation of performance analyses to senior leadership.
• Oversees timely management of client requests.
• Direct reports: one; performs hiring, termination, and performance reviews.
