Job summary

KARL STORZ North America seeks a strategic and hands-on leader to oversee our Compliance Risk Assurance program. You will guide audits, risk assessments, data analytics, and transparency reporting to strengthen compliance and protect company value.

The role requires deep compliance expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to build trusted partnerships across the organization, with travel of ~15–25% expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, or related functions.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations, transparency reporting requirements, fraud and abuse laws, OIG guidance, and AdvaMed/PhRMA Codes.
• Experience leading compliance audits, monitoring programs, risk assessments, and investigations.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and build cross-functional relationships.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 15-25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of a risk-based compliance audit and monitoring program.
• Establish methodologies, standards, and reporting practices for audit and monitoring.
• Develop annual audit plans based on risk assessments and regulatory developments.
• Oversee audits, monitoring activities, and live-event reviews to evaluate program effectiveness.
• Ensure timely reporting of findings, corrective actions, and remediation progress to leadership.
