Job summary

KARL STORZ is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director, Compliance Risk Assurance to oversee our North America program. You will lead an expert team delivering risk-based assurance, analytics, and actionable insights to strengthen compliance and drive business value.

This role requires deep regulatory expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to build trusted partnerships across all levels of the organization. Travel is ~15-25% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, or related fields, preferably in med devices/life sciences.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, transparency reporting, and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of a risk-based compliance audit and monitoring program.
• Establish audit, monitoring, and risk assurance methodologies, standards, and reporting practices.
• Develop annual audit and monitoring plans based on risk assessments and regulatory developments.
• Oversee audits, monitoring activities, and reporting of findings to leadership.
• Present risk insights, trends, and recommendations to senior management and governance committees.
