Job summary

KARL STORZ North America is seeking a strategic Director of Compliance Risk Assurance to oversee audits, monitoring, data analytics, and transparency reporting across the organization. You will build a risk-based program, drive improvements, and partner with legal, finance, and operations to protect value and patient safety.

You will lead a high-performing team, mentor professionals, manage external audits, and communicate risks to senior leadership. 15–25% travel expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years in Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, or related field.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience.
• Experience with healthcare compliance regulations and transparency reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and evolution of the North America Compliance Risk Assurance program with audits, monitoring, analytics, and disclosure reporting.
• Build methodologies, standards, and reporting practices for risk-based assurance.
• Oversee risk assessments, remediation plans, and governance communications to senior leadership.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing team; manage external auditors and co-sourced partners.
• Communicate insights to senior management and partner with Finance, Legal, and Operations to strengthen controls.
