Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Corporate Development Manager to drive strategic growth by delivering insights on markets, customers, competitors, financial topics, investments, technologies, and industry trends. You will work with executives and cross-functional teams to support investment projects across acquisitions, joint ventures, minority and venture investments.

The role requires strong financial modeling, Excel, PowerPoint, and communication skills, with onsite work in Raleigh, NC or Wilton,

Qualifications

• Background in corporate development, strategy, consulting, business development, investment assessment, venture capital, private equity, or M&A preferred.
• Experience in market, customer, competitor, financial, or strategic assessment.
• Strong financial assessment, Excel modeling, PowerPoint, research and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive-ready materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop market perspectives, opportunities, and portfolio priorities to inform strategic planning.
• Prepare materials for Executive Committee and Board discussions on investment opportunities.
• Collaborate with Business Units and Regions to align insights with strategic priorities.
• Lead workstreams on investments and growth initiatives including acquisitions and joint ventures.
• Assess strategic fit, value potential, risks, governance, and milestones for projects.
• Manage cross-functional workstreams across global teams and stakeholders.
• Structure ambiguous challenges and develop actionable recommendations.
