Job summary

UnitedHealth Group’s Corporate Strategy team seeks a seasoned business strategist to drive growth and operational excellence. You will deliver data‑driven insights across Optum, UnitedHealthcare, and external partners, shaping market opportunities and strategic plans.

With 3+ years in healthcare strategy and financial modeling, you will influence executive decisions, lead project teams, and travel as needed to support projects and client engagements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of healthcare experience.
• 3+ years of strategy consulting experience and/or corporate strategy experience.
• 3+ years of conceptual, analytical, and financial modeling experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading project teams or workstreams.
• 3+ years of experience communicating data and strategic frameworks to executive audiences.
• Ability to travel up to 20% (may be required depending on projects).

Responsibilities

• Deliver data-driven insights to support cross-enterprise initiatives spanning growth strategy, operational excellence, and partnerships.
• Analyze industry trends, customer needs, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance for strategic projects.
• Enable actionable decision-making, corporate prioritization, and strategy communication to executives and boards.
• Conduct internal and external research, financial modeling and growth projection analyses, and deliver presentations.
• Nurture relationships with business unit leaders and corporate strategy teammates.
• Scope, initiate, plan, execute, and close strategy projects.
• Support the corporate planning process and ad hoc executive projects.
