Job summary

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Sacramento is seeking a Grants Manager to oversee pre- and post-award activities, develop proposals and budgets, and ensure compliance with donors and internal policies. You will coordinate with leadership, finance, and RAM to drive funding opportunities and manage grant portfolios.

The role requires five or more years in nonprofit grants, strong writing and budgeting skills, and a collaborative, results-driven mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required in nonprofit management, community development, social sciences, social work, or related fields.
• Five+ years of nonprofit or public sector experience in development and grants.
• Five+ years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent writing, research, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with grants process of government funding agencies and RAM a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and manage Sacramento funding opportunities with Site Directors and program leads.
• Lead concepts, proposals, and budgets ensuring logframes and narratives meet high quality standards.
• Coordinate grant openings and closures and track using Asana.
• Maintain contract and grant files with consistent documentation standards.
• Serve as the local subject expert for IRC’s internal grants systems (PEERS and OTIS).
