Job summary

Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art seeks a Grants Manager to lead the writing and submission of government, corporate, and foundation proposals across departments, including exhibitions, conservation, and education. You will secure funding and manage post-award reporting through close-out, while researching new grant opportunities.

The role collaborates with the development team and staff to coordinate inputs, maintain grants records, and cultivate relationships with funders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2–4 years in grant or proposal writing.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate RFPs into compelling responses.
• Self-directed with attention to detail and flexibility.
• Knowledge of foundation and government philanthropy; PA funding experience a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Raiser’s Edge or Altru preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft government, corporate, and foundation grant proposals and reports.
• Manage grants calendar and submission deadlines.
• Expand prospect pipeline via proactive research and engagement.
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers to gather input and documentation.
• Maintain CRM records including grants tracking and follow-ups.
