Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree - Required
• Master’s Degree - Preferred
• 2 years Project Management Experience - Required
• 3 years proven track record in grant writing including, but not limited to, local state, and federal government grants, proposals and funding requests to private, community, or family foundations (ranging from $5,000 to $2,000,000) - Preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Director of Grant Administration, the divisional foundation’s Executive Director, and hospital President/CEO to determine strategy and priorities for seeking funding sources.
• Develop a comprehensive list of Hospital programs that could be funded via grants.
• Identify and actively seek funding sources.
• Research, interpret, and identify eligibility for funding.
• Analyze scope of potential grant programs and their impact on the hospital’s community.
• Prepare quarterly reports with potential funding sources and applicable programs.
• Maintain schedule for timely submissions of grant proposals.
• Create and maintain grant proposal timelines/assignments for each proposal.
• Initiate contact with external grants officers to gauge interest and current guidelines.
• Write, edit, and package cultivation materials, proposals, and solicitations.
• Prepare supplementary materials (e.g., LOI, letters of support, budget, data collection).
• Process drafts through leadership for timely reviews and input.
• Support grant prep timelines for early submission.
• Serve as a project manager by forming a Grants Team for each proposal.
• Attend meetings to ensure reporting tools and information are available.
• Develop correspondence and follow-up reports for funders based on deadlines.
• Create grant tracking mechanisms to measure goals and financial data.
