Job summary

Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York, NY seeks a Manager, Institutional Giving to lead grant writing and donor communications, coordinate proposals and reports, and manage gift processing and acknowledgment letters.

You will work with the Directors of Foundations, handle relationships with program officers, and support fundraising initiatives across foundation, government, and corporate funders.

Qualifications

• 5 years of work experience, with 2+ years in grant writing and/or institutional giving.
• Excellent expository writing, research, copyediting, and communication skills.
• Ability to interact with funders and anticipate funder needs.
• Familiarity with grant portals such as Fluxx, Grants.gov, and SmartSimple.

Responsibilities

• Maintain funder relationships as day-to-day contact with program officers and coordinate meetings.
• Draft proposals, letters of inquiry, concept notes, decks, and reports; manage grant calendar in Asana.
• Request and review grant budgets and financial reports for alignment with narratives and funder requirements.
• Coordinate gift processing, acknowledgment letters, and funder activity in Tessitura.
• Manage donor crediting across print and digital materials with Marketing and Development Operations.
• Support Project Pioneer by assisting with prospect research and outreach tracking.
• Prepare briefing materials and internal memos for leadership and Board Development Committee meetings.
• Assist Events team and other duties as assigned by the Director, Foundations.
