Walker West Music Academy in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Gifts and Grants Manager to oversee grants, manage institutional and individual giving, and strengthen donor relationships.

You will edit and review proposals, coordinate with a contracted Grant Writer, track outcomes and reports, run major giving campaigns, and collaborate with staff to cultivate mid-to-major donors and host donor events.

This role supports a mission-driven culture in a collaborative, musician-led community.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of nonprofit fundraising, grant oversight, or donor relations.
• Strong editorial skills with grant proposals.
• Proven ability to plan and execute donor campaigns and events.
• Experience managing funder relationships and compliance reporting.
• Excellent project and time management; collaborative communication.
• Familiarity with nonprofit CRMs (Salesforce, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, HubSpot).

Responsabilités

• Review, edit, and provide feedback on grant proposals drafted by the contracted Grant Writer.
• Serve as primary contact for foundations, program officers, and sponsors to build external relationships.
• Oversee qualitative outcomes, narrative updates, and financial tracking for funder reports and internal dashboards.
• Manage the master grant calendar to meet milestones, deadlines, and compliance.
• Strategize and execute major giving campaigns, including Year-End Giving and Give to the Max Day.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to identify and cultivate mid-level and major donors.
• Direct donor events and annual supporter celebrations to deepen engagement.
• Refine funding targets and narratives with the Grant Writer; coordinate with the Development Associate.
• Coordinate donor records, campaign lists, and event data with staff.
• Manage staff performance, provide training, set expectations, and address issues with HR input.
