Job summary

Solid Ground in White Bear Lake, MN is seeking a Grants Manager to oversee our institutional funding portfolio, including government, private, and corporate grants. In partnership with the Director of Advancement, you will execute the annual fundraising plan, manage research, proposals, reporting, and compliance.

The role requires 3–5 years in grant writing or fundraising, a bachelor’s degree, strong writing and budgeting skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in grant writing or institutional fundraising.
• Experience writing nonprofit grants for housing or family support is preferred.
• Strong writing, editing, and reporting skills with attention to budgeting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the annual institutional fundraising plan with the Director of Advancement and work toward revenue goals.
• Research and prioritize funding opportunities by mission alignment and financial potential.
• Maintain the grants database, calendar, and pipeline with deadlines, submissions, and renewals.
• Develop grant budgets and ensure proposals reflect program needs and funding requirements.
• Prepare and submit letters of inquiry, proposals, and narrative/financial reports.
• Coordinate with Program staff and finance to gather data, outcomes, and stories.
• Manage relationships with government agencies and foundations through timely communication.
• Support corporate sponsorships and participate in the capital campaign as needed.
