Job summary

The University of Miami seeks a Grant Administrator to independently review sponsored proposal applications, negotiate awards, and provide institutional-level sponsored research services across departments and units. You will interface with extramural agencies and guide faculty on complex sponsor requirements.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree, with 4+ years in research administration, knowledge of major sponsor regulations, and experience with university systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Certification as CRA is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of research administration experience including proposal and award review.
• Knowledge of NIH, DOD/DARPA, NSF, FAA, DOE and OMB Circulars.
• Familiarity with sponsor/university systems (Huron, grants.gov, eRA Commons, DMAS).
• Strong communication, independence, professionalism and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, negotiate and endorse completed proposals and awards.
• Communicate with extramural agencies on proposal and grant matters.
• Advise faculty and staff on sponsored research administration issues.
• Collaborate with PIs, study teams, Compliance, IRB, Risk Management and sponsors to ensure compliant management.
