Job summary

Montclair State University is seeking a Grants Accountant to manage post-award financial accounting and reporting for a portfolio of grants. The role focuses on compliance with federal/state regulations and sponsor requirements, including indirect costs, fringe rates, and cost allocations.

Responsibilities include monitoring grant transactions, generating financial reports, and collaborating with Principal Investigators and university departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Minimum of three years of general account analysis and reconciliations experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with GASB, FASB, and OMB Uniform Guidance standards.
• Monitor grant-related transactions and prepare grant analyses and reports.
• Assist in payroll and grant cost distribution using Workday and other systems.
• Collaborate with PIs and university departments to ensure timely grant reporting.
