Job summary

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) invites applications for a Senior Manager, Institutional Giving to advance social justice by securing funding from institutional donors. Travel ~30% is required, with Local Remote and telework options described.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of development/fundraising experience.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Establish a clear vision and strategy for SPLC's institutional donor portfolio, under supervision.
• Write, edit, and prepare high-quality grant proposals and reports for institutional funders.
• Manage a staff of three using SMARTIE objectives and provide coaching.
• Provide operational assistance by supervising two support staff.
• Liaise with program, communications, and M&E to present programmatic impact.
• Maintain systems for prospecting and cultivating donors and recording grant deliverables.
• Develop and implement fundraising strategies for foundations and other institutional donors.
• Uphold SPLC's JEDI principles through diverse collaboration.
