Job summary

The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. seeks an Institutional Giving Manager to help drive the Development Department's fundraising efforts. You will manage donor relations, draft proposals and reports, and coordinate budgets with program and finance teams.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Institutional Giving, you will oversee deadlines, cultivation strategies, and grant reporting cycles to sustain LDF's civil rights work in criminal justice, education, and economic opportunity.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to synthesize complex program concepts into compelling proposals and reports on deadlines.
• Experience drafting grant proposals and reports and donor correspondence.
• Excellent time management and organization skills.
• Detail oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines while coordinating with Finance and Program teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of institutional donors.
• Draft grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and donor reports on deadlines.
• Manage reporting process and calendars, and gather information from Finance and Program Directors.
• Engage with Finance and Programming to develop budgets for proposals and reports.
• Prepare for grant management meetings, including agendas and notes.
