Job summary

The State of South Carolina Department of Public Health is seeking a detail-oriented Grant Accountant to support grant financial management, reporting, and cash administration. The role ensures compliance with federal/state regulations and accurate grant records while collaborating with internal program, budget, and accounting teams.

Key duties include cash management, Federal Financial Reports, grant reconciliation, and related invoicing.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and analytical with strong accounting skills.
• Experience in grant accounting, financial reporting, and cash management.
• Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to grants is preferred.
• Experience supporting program, budget, and accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage cash draws for federal and non-federal grants in compliance with regulations.
• Prepare and submit Federal Financial Reports (FFRs) and related invoicing.
• Reconcile grant records with systems and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with fund transfers and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Perform other duties and travel as needed.
