Job summary

Viasat is seeking a Government Supply Manager to lead procurement and supplier management for government programs. You will oversee development, qualification, and production phases, ensuring supply continuity and cost competitiveness in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment.

You’ll work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and planning teams to address supply chain risks, plus manage contract manufacturers under FAR/DFARS/ITAR guidance. Remote role with Arizona residency required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years directly applicable Supply Chain experience.
• Experience managing suppliers in manufacturing, technology, aerospace, or complex environments.
• Working knowledge of Federal/Defense contracting requirements (DFAR/FAR/ITAR).
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and supply planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end procurement strategy across development, qualification, and production phases.
• Identify, qualify, and onboard contract manufacturers meeting government program requirements.
• Lead competitive sourcing events and evaluate suppliers on capability, cost, capacity, and compliance.
• Develop dual-source or contingency strategies for high-risk components.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and supply agreements.
