Job summary

ATS+Partners in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Sr. Staffing Consultant to lead IT staffing for government contracts across federal, state, local, and education sectors.

You will manage full-cycle recruitment, screening, and placement of qualified IT professionals with a focus on compliance and rapid delivery. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years recruiting IT talent in government contracting, MSP, or consulting, with strong knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud, and enterprise IT roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Communications, Information Technology, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience recruiting IT professionals in a staffing agency, consulting, MSP, or government contracting environment
• Proven experience supporting federal, state, local government, education, or public sector staffing engagements preferred
• Strong understanding of IT roles, technical terminology, certifications, and current technology hiring trends
• Experience recruiting for contract and consulting-based technical positions
• Proficiency using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), recruiting CRM platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and sourcing tools
• Ability to manage multiple open requisitions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience with high-volume sourcing and candidate pipeline development
• Familiarity with compliance-oriented onboarding and contractor documentation processes
• Strong internet research and Boolean sourcing skills

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting for IT contract, contract-to-hire, and consulting positions supporting federal, state, local, and education sector clients
• Source, screen, interview, and qualify technical professionals across multiple disciplines, including cybersecurity, cloud & infrastructure, systems administration, network engineering, software development, data & analytics, IT project management, service desk & technical support, enterprise applications, DevOps & platform engineering
• Recruit for both cleared and non-cleared technical positions when applicable
• Build and maintain strong pipelines of government-focused IT talent
• Partner closely with account managers, program managers, and leadership teams to understand staffing priorities and contract deliverables
• Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, networking, Boolean sourcing, and recruiting platforms to identify qualified candidates
• Conduct technical and behavioral screening interviews
• Coordinate candidate submissions, interview scheduling, onboarding, compliance documentation, and start-date management
• Maintain recruiting activity, candidate records, and reporting within ATS/CRM systems
• Support proposal staffing efforts, urgent staffing requests, and rapid-response hiring initiatives
• Ensure compliance with client onboarding requirements, including background checks, work authorization verification, and government contracting standards
• Build relationships with technical professionals, government staffing communities, and industry networks
