Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation seeks a Government Affairs Associate to partner with marketing, renewables, political, and research functions. The role provides exposure to multiple business segments and coordination with key lawmakers.

The candidate will research and summarize legislative developments, support budgeting for political contributions, and maintain the DINO PAC programs, including board discussions. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Strong legislative competency as well as strong negotiating and influencing skills.
• Analytically strong with attention to details.
• In depth knowledge of legislative data requirements, programs and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides key customer appropriate updates and participates in industry groups.
• Streamlines the management of political contributions through the DINO PAC.
• Participates in the development of budget and process for political contributions, participate in DINO PAC board discussions.
• Researches, analyzes, and evaluates legislative and regulatory developments; assesses potential impacts to company operations and business objectives, and prepares briefing materials and recommendations for leadership decision-making.
• Maintains and administers the DINO PAC's charitable giving match program.
• Participates in industry events on an as needed basis.
• Builds relationships with key government officials with the support of VP Government Affairs.
• Assists Government Affairs team with administrative tasks.
