Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation seeks a Government Affairs Associate to support multifaceted government relations efforts in Dallas. You will interact with marketing, renewables, political, and research teams and engage with lawmakers to advance business objectives.

The role requires a minimum of three years in the field and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; an MBA is preferred. Travel up to 25% may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in scientific discipline, Government, Public Policy, Law, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum of three years’ industry and specialty-related experience.
• MBA or equivalent experience in government affairs preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills; legislative competency; negotiation and influencing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides key updates and participates in industry groups.
• Streamlines management of political contributions through the DINO PAC.
• Contributes to budget and process development for political contributions; participates in DINO PAC board discussions.
• Researches, analyzes, and evaluates legislative and regulatory developments; prepares briefing materials and leadership recommendations.
• Maintains and administers the DINO PAC charitable giving match program.
• Participates in industry events as needed.
• Builds relationships with key government officials with VP Government Affairs support.
• Assists Government Affairs team with administrative tasks.
