Job summary

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing partners with a government contractor to hire a Contracts Manager who will oversee cradle-to-grave administration of federal contracts in a hybrid DMV-area setting.

The role requires strong knowledge of government contracting regulations and cross-functional collaboration with leadership, program, finance and legal teams to ensure compliance and successful contract execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of contracts administration or contracts management experience in a GovCon environment.
• Strong working knowledge of FAR and DCAA compliance requirements.
• Ability to work across finance, program, and legal teams to ensure contract alignment and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, and NDAs.
• Review solicitations, contract awards, modifications, and other contractual documents.
• Provide guidance on contract interpretation, risk identification, and compliance requirements.
• Support proposal review, negotiations, and contract execution activities.
• Partner with finance and program teams to ensure alignment between contract terms and operational execution.
• Maintain organized contract files and support internal reporting requirements.
• Assist with audit requests, compliance reviews, and internal process improvements.
• Monitor contractual obligations and ensure timely communication of key terms, deadlines, and risks.
