Job summary

Kennebunkport Resort Collection is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee The Boathouse Hotel & Restaurant, Kennebunkport Inn, Yachtsman Hotel & Marina Club, Grand Hotel, and The Lodge on the Cove. Lead strategic operations, develop leaders, and drive profitability across the portfolio.

Successful candidate will guide guest experiences, ensure brand standards, manage budgets, and collaborate with ownership on capital plans. Strong hospitality leadership required.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of management experience in hotel/lodging environment preferred.
• Four-year degree in related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of lodging operations and guest service etiquette.
• Independent branded hotel experience (limited and full service) preferred.
• Experience in sales/marketing and food & beverage is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours including weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support all departments within the resort to ensure policies and standards are met.
• Interact with guests to promote resort features and amenities.
• Monitor hotel operations and rectify deficiencies with staff.
• Maintain profitability of each department and forecast budgets.
• Develop capital plans and asset management with ownership input.
• Drive revenues and market share using distribution channels and technology.
• Provide mentoring and development for leadership teams.
• Ensure compliance with laws and resort policies.
• Oversee guest satisfaction and service recovery guidelines.
• Collaborate with revenue team on seasonal demand strategy.
